Within Western Australia our Mining & Resources Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations throughout the Pilbara Region of Western Australia.

As a trusted partner to the WA resource sector, Calibre is integrated in our Client's Major Projects which enables up to go above and beyond and succeed together with our clients.


The Role:


Joining a major projects team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a large iron ore preliminary engineering study, focused on options analysis.

This is a true, all-round QS role, responsible for the costing, estimating, contracts administration and incorporated change.

  • Prepare progress claims and ensure that all variation works have been incorporated
  • Ensure timely and effective preparation and evaluation of tenders, negotiation with tenderers and recommendations
  • General commercial administration and advisory, including close of out contracts, issuance of award of contracts etc
  • Quantification and costing of current work scope and future construction work, including quantity takeoff and preparing bills of quantities
  • Maintaining consistent communication channels with the wider project team and the project manager to best manage change and risk

  • Relevant qualification in contracts and procurement, supply chain management, business or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience working in a QS or relevant Project Controls position, on mining & resource projects
  • Sound working knowledge of project management principles and project controls methodologies
  • Experience in the preparation, quantification, negotiation and closeout of contract claims
  • Good stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate with the wider project teams
