About the Role

Ready to advance your career and join a forward-thinking leadership team? Prince of Wales Private Hospital is looking for a passionate, dynamic Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Day of Surgery Service on a full-time basis.

Our facility features 11 operating theatres and 1 endoscopy suite, conducting a wide range of surgeries with over 24,000 cases yearly. Located in Randwick, alongside other renowned hospitals, joining us means being part of an innovative team dedicated to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational leadership for Day Surgery
  • Ensure high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment
  • Offer guidance and support to your team
  • Manage resources effectively
  • Deliver direct nursing care as needed
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in acute surgical settings
  • Proven track record in team leadership and service excellence
  • Ability to build positive relationships with various stakeholders
  • Knowledge of private health funding
  • Commitment to high-quality care
  • Proficiency in MS Office and databases
  • Strong team player

Desirable Skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing Management
  • Understanding of WHS legislation
  • Experience in quality improvement and evidence-based practice
