About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineers to join a rapidly growing maritime/defence company. This role involves engaging in various structural engineering activities across Concept, Preliminary, and Detailed Design phases.

Key Responsibilities

Structural Analysis & Design:
Conduct structural analysis and design, including hullform and outfit design

3D Modelling & Analysis:
Use 3D and FE software packages such as Inventor NASTRAN, ANSYS suite, and Hyperworks suite for modelling, studies, and analyses

Engineering Documentation:
Produce detailed design drawings, illustrations, and diagrams using software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation

Technical Advice:
Provide structural engineering design, construction, and through-life issue advice to external parties and other technical disciplines as required

Reports & Specifications:
Contribute structural engineering input to reports and specifications

Client & Contractor Liaison:
Communicate effectively with clients and other contractors as required

Project Management:
Manage assigned tasks and activities

Capability Development:
Contribute to the development of in-house structural design and analysis capabilities

Support Activities:
Perform other duties as required to support design, consultancy, and marketing activities.
Uphold company HSEQ standards at all times.

About You

Professional Engineer with a minimum of tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering. Must be working towards or have attained recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in engineering design within a quality framework.
Eligible to secure an NV1 Security Clearance.
