Where you come in:
In this part time, fixed term position (9 days per fortnight, through to end of June 2023, with strong potential for extension) based in Gold Coast, you'll work within a team to provide case management and safety planning support to women and children who are escaping or experiencing domestic violence, within the refuge accommodation program.
Working a 9-day fortnight in addition to some mínimal rostered on-call responsibilities, you'll be part of our Domestic and Family Violence team and report to the Team Leader.
You will make an impact by:
- Facilitating the provision of safe accommodation to women and children escaping domestic and family violence
- Conducting thorough risk and needs assessments, within a trauma informed case management framework
- Working with families to source appropriate, safe and sustainable accommodation free from violence and/or connecting families with services to meet their needs

This role requires:
- A Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology or relevant Human Service Qualification and/or significant experience in a similar service
- Knowledge and understanding of domestic and family violence, including the impact on children
- Experience working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Current drivers' licence
