Job Description:

SGS is seeking for a Laboratory Technician to join our team in a casual basis in Alexandria, NSW.

As a team member you will assist management in maintaining SGS's capability to analyse soil, water and air in the Inorganic section.

In particular to conduct routine and non-routine analyses and to deliver quality and timely laboratory results.

Other key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Understand and comply to general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure you maintain housekeeping to highest standard
  • Carry out scheduled equipment and basic instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with the written procedures.
  • Report immediately any unsafe work condition, faulty equipment, hazards and incidents to the supervisor and/or manager.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification, TAFE certificates minimum
  • Experience in a general laboratory environment
  • Flexibility with working hours and tasks
