Our client is a global business that has been operating in Australia for more than 50 years. They are at the forefront of Australian manufacturing and are a leader in their field.

They manufacture complex rail maintenance equipment from the ground up, and an opportunity has arisen for a trade-qualified Electrical Fitter to join their friendly team.


About the role:

Working within the Electrical Team, you will find yourself in the workshop each day, operating within a well-resourced team-based environment, performing the following duties:

  • Reading from wiring diagrams and cable lists and building complex wiring looms
  • Panel wiring
  • Electrical fitting
  • Installing PLCs and other electrical and electronic componentry
  • Assorted other electrical assembly duties
Working with various voltages (24v/240v/415v), you will help build some of the most unique rail maintenance equipment in Australia. You'll work standard hours of 7 am - 3:25 pm Monday to Friday, with optional overtime regularly on offer.

You will be given an RDO per month and will enjoy loads of support as you acclimatise to your new role.

You'll work collaboratively with other in-house trades regularly.

What do you need to apply?:

Essential:

  • Electrical trade qualification
  • The ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
  • Solid fine motor skills
  • The unrestricted right to live and work in Australia
  • Full Covid19 vaccination
  • Ability to pass a preemployment medical including drug and alcohol screen

Preferred:

  • Industrial electrical experience is preferred
  • An interest in metal fabrication is helpful
