The Test and Evaluation (T&E) Manager skills, qualifications and role description and responsibilities that must be performed, includes but not limited to the following:

Roles and responsibilities:Develop and maintain Documents including Operational Concept Document (OCD), T&E Strategy, Test and Evaluation Management Plan (TEMP).Collaboratively work with Delivery Agencies to achieve co-design outcomes across technical design, FIC analysis, systems engineering efforts, and detailed introduction into service planningPlan, develop, coordinate, manage and conduct T&E programs for the capability.

Identify, manage and coordinate tasks to support T&E activities.
Provide advice and support to Project Director on T&E requirements including methodology, planning, scheduling, conduct, evaluation, and reporting.

Develop recommendations and advice to Capability Manager (CM) or, in conjunction with other authorities, for the developmental T&E, Verification and Validation (V&V) activity, design acceptance, operational effectiveness and suitability and acceptance into operational service of capability systems as applicable.

Manage T&E resource to support the T&E program.

Lead the planning and coordination to conduct Operational Test and Evaluation, including assessment of system outcomes against capability target states.

Work with the Delivery Agencies to generate integrated Pre and Developmental Test and Evaluation (and risk reduction planning) plans and oversee acceptance testing.

Identify and manage capability, cross-program, and user needs, and generate forums for user engagement and prioritising requirements.

Conduct detailed analysis with Delivery Agencies to integrate prioritised needs into the delivery schedule; or developing decision briefs for resource reprioritisation.

With the Strategy Team, support multinational engagement activities and contribute to the development of technical and procedural standardsSupport the customer's product sustainment outcomes through the provision of technical and related FIC analysis; and user needs managementConduct detailed planning for system-of-system integration, innovation activities, industry engagement, and capability proposals; and support the Delivery Agency in the coordination and execution of these eventsSupport the development of briefs, sponsors papers, and conduct stakeholder engagement as part of their development and submissionEssential skills, qualifications and experience:Tertiary qualification in relevant field.

Previous Test and Evaluation experience.

Experience with One Defence Capability SystemProject Management Qualifications or ExperienceDesirable skills, qualifications and experience:
Previous Defence Test and Evaluation experienceCertified Professional Project Manager (CPPM)
