Graduate Nursing and Midwifery Program - *Post Graduate Midwifery Discipline*

Registered Midwife Grade 2 – 32 hours per week
12 months Fixed Term commencing January 2025

West Gippsland Healthcare Group are now accepting applications for our 2025 Graduate Nurse and Midwifery Program. Our program is based at the West Gippsland Hospital (Warragul) where we offer interesting, challenging and well-supported Graduate Programs in Registered Nursing and Midwifery.

This advert is for Graduates wanting to apply to the Post Graduate Midwifery Stream.

Eligibility

As per PMCV Computer Match guidelines, you must be either:

  • A Victorian trained Nursing/Midwifery Graduate (citizen/permanent resident)
  • A current Victorian resident – Distance Education Nursing/Midwifery Graduate
  • An Australian interstate-trained Nursing/Midwifery Graduate (citizen/permanent resident)
  • A New Zealand-trained Nursing/Midwifery Graduate (citizen/permanent resident)

You must also:

  • Be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Have not previously participated in a Graduate Nurse or Graduate Midwifery Program
  • Have completed your Nursing and/or Midwifery degree in January-December 2024 academic year

IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare/aged care sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

All appointments with the West Gippsland Healthcare Group are subject to the satisfactory return of professional reference checks, an NDIS worker screening clearance and a current Employee Working with Children Check. All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six-month probationary period applies to all new appointments.

Outcomes:
