At Hudson, Cell Therapies (HCT) weoffer a core service in the compliant processing of minimally manipulated humanblood and tissue products for early phase HREC approved investigator leadclinical trials with TGA CTN notifications. In addition, HCT currently holdsconditional ISO 15189 accreditation to provide cryopreservation, storage &distribution services to Monash Health's Cell Therapy Program in support oftheir autologous stem cell transplantation standard of care. Work undertaken byHCT does so within our Quality Management framework, ensuring consistentaccountability, risk assessment and reproducibility while providing clientswith confidence in their results.

We are looking for an experiencedHPC processing and cryopreservation scientist, familiar with the NPAAC and NATA15189 standards as well as clinical workflows, to take our productioncapabilities forward. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to becomepart of a small, dedicated and dynamic team charged with establishing andgrowing a robust production service to provide for local precinct stakeholdersand beyond.

The position reports to the HICTService Operations Manager and will work closely with the service MedicalDirector as well as Quality Management, Precinct Facilities Management andProduction Support Operators. The Production Supervisor would assist HudsonInstitute Cell Therapies, and external stakeholders, in matters relating totherapeutic goods production within the cell therapy clean room facility.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The role will suit someone who has:

· Minimum 3 years hands-on experience performing HPCprocessing and cryopreservation activities within an ISO 15189 accreditedlaboratory.

· Experience training staff with competency oversightof Production team.

· Ability to interpret and apply relevant regulationsto maintain product safety and quality above all.

· Experience contributing to, and working within,accredited Quality Management Systems; experience with electronic QMS highlydesired.

· Previous experience within scientific serviceprovision role, including client facing responsibilities.

· Membership of affiliated professional bodies withparticipation in local conferences & workshops desired.

· Demonstrable, exemplary, written and verbalcommunication skills.

· Ability to operate with a degree of independence.

· Ability to adopt client-facing responsibilities withinservice providing environment

Your responsibilities include:

· HPC(A) processing andcryopreservation activities within ISO 8 certified clean room environment.

· Supervise & executeday to day Production operations of the facility.

· Contribute to a cultureof continuous improvement within HICT that aligns with established precinctoperations and business practices as well as stakeholder expectations.

· Contribute to small, specialised team with enthusiasm and passion for quality, advanced cellulartherapies.

· Monitor human andmaterial resources required to maintain robust production services.

· Manage and maintaincritical equipment; utilising external service providers when required.

· Report and communicateissues, present and emerging, that impact production safety or service,contribute to risk mitigation strategies.

· Partake in and contributeto HICT internal training and development programs, in compliance with relevantstandards and demands.
