Caporn Piling is seeking Diesel Fitters to join our national team.

Caporn Piling has over 50 years' experience in the piling industry and employs some of the most experienced pilers in Australia.

The team of over 60 professionals have worked on some of the largest and most technically challenging projects in Australia.

Our head office is located in Queensland and we have multiple projects site based opportunities across Australia.


Caporn Piling provides expert foundation design and construction solutions for large and technically challenging commercial, industrial, residential, infrastructure, mining and resource sectors.

As a Diesel Fitter, the responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Provide knowledge in the maintenance and repair of highly technical equipment, supporting our fleet of specialist foundation and ground improvement equipment
  • Ensuring all plant and equipment is maintained to required OEM standards
  • Diagnose and repair faults across a variety of equipment / hydraulic and electrical diagnostics
  • Machine overhaul
  • Reading drawings, specifications and equipment manuals to assist with troubleshooting and repair
  • Liaising with the Plant Manager in relation to repairs and parts
  • Request required spare parts
  • Participate in OEM training
  • Manual handling of heavy goods where required
  • Maintain daily logs and records of work performed including maintenance checks, prestarts etc.
  • Housekeeping of equipment and site
  • Ensuring all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical) Diesel Fitter
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical specifications and manuals
  • Competent in auto electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with piling/drilling equipment, cranes or foundation equipment is highly regarded but not essential


 Drill rig makes
  • Bauer, Soilmec, Woltman
  • Experience with track based machines
  • Current Driver's License
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Construction Industry Safety Card

  • LF, DG, RB, EWP
  • Working at Heights ticket
  • Confined Space ticket

Salary:
$ $50.87 per hour
(Commensurate with skillset and experience)
