We are now hiring Mobile Road Safety Camera Operators accross the state with a focus on the following locations.

You will be part of our Traffic Camera Services team, assessing, reviewing and monitoring locations, ensuring they are free of interference to support the prosecution of images.

  • Stability: Permanent Part-Time opportunities
  • Training: 12 days full-timepaid training
  • Roster: Operational 24/7availability. We are looking for team members to work scheduled sessions through a 24 x 7 operation

About you

You will be required to undertake a medical assessment as part of the application process where a medical professional will assess your ability to meet requirements including but not limited to the following examples.

  • Any medical conditions that may impact on or your health be placed at risk by sitting for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Any medical reasons for reduced mobility for the purposes of following safety instructions and directions
  • Any medical reasons why you may not be able to meet the inherent requirements of the role.
  • A current Victorian drivers licence is required for this role and a complete drivers history report will also be required and considered as part of the recruitment process
  • Given the nature of the operational requirements and roster pattern over a 24 x 7 requirement, if you have other regular commitments, this role may not suit your circumstances
  • Accurate reporting and record keeping via provided electrical devises is a requirement for the role, accuracy and computer literacy skills is a must for candidates

About the Role

As a Mobile Road Safety Camera Operator with Serco, you will be supporting Victoria's Road safety Program by setting up and monitoring speed detection equipment. In this role, you will be working to support and help reduce Victoria's road toll and make Victorian roads safer.

To be considered for this role we require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our people. You will also need to complete pre-employment checks including relevant security clearances, psychometric profiling and medicals, we can provide you more information on these in our initial conversation with you.
