About the Opportunity


As the IT Security Manager (ITSM) for Optus' Government Integrated Client Services (ICS) supporting the Department of the Australian Taxation Office, you will play a pivotal role in advocating and managing security services.

You will be the primary point of contact for our government customer and responsible for the effective security framework lifecycle management, organic growth, and customer satisfaction.


Key responsibilities

  • Advocate and manage security services for Optus' Government Integrated Client Services (ICS) supporting the Department of the Australian Taxation Office.
  • Support all aspects of the ICT security lifecycle, including project support and operations support.
  • Produce and maintain the ICT security framework for contractbased deliverables and security accreditation.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and management plans.
  • Engage with key customer stakeholders, including executives, to manage expectations and foster strategic partnerships.
  • Work closely with Optus stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery in line with contractual obligations.
  • Leverage a multidisciplinary technical team to achieve the effective operation of the delivery framework.
  • Handle Security Incident Management effectively.

What's Required

  • Minimum NV1 Government security clearance is essential for this role.
  • Outstanding knowledge and experience with Cyber Security and Information Security disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience in a comparable Federal Government Security role.
  • Proven ability to manage security in complex ICT environments and find pragmatic, effective solutions to diverse and complex issues.
  • Experience in managing security in large managed service accounts.
  • Extensive experience with, at a minimum, ISO2700x or ISM, and PSPF.
  • Excellent documentation writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in Security Incident Management.
