Where you will be working:

You will be working closely with a successful female barrister within the Brisbane CBD.

This diverse role will allow you to utilise your PA and office management skills, including bookkeeping and assisting with a side business 20% of the day.


What you will be doing:

  • Responsibility for bookkeeping and payroll, including attending to and drafting BAS as required for barrister's business and corporate entities.
  • Providing moderate legal secretarial services to approximately three barristers, including producing invoices and costs disclosure letters, diary management, electronic brief collation, chasing outstanding invoices, proofreading for grammatical or typographic errors, and drafting basic legal documents from templates.
  • Assisting with the management of a shortterm accommodation business.
  • Undertaking general errands including dry cleaning, shopping, shoe repair, etc.
  • Other tasks as directed

To be successful, you should have:

  • Experience as a legal assistant PA or office manager.
  • Familiarity with Xero/MYOB, Office, Adobe, and electronic brief collation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality.
  • Wellpresented and highly organised with attention to detail.
