About Us
Jessie McPherson Private Hospital (JMPH) is a 115 bed tertiary level Private Hospital, which has been co-located at Monash Medical Centre Clayton since 1987.
JMPH is the Private Hospital Provider with an additional 48 private beds at the Victorian Heart Hospital and has re-branded the cardiac services model to
Monash Heart Private (operated by Jessie McPherson Private Hospital).
The Victorian Heart Hospital will be an Australian-first heart hospital, bringing together the world's best in cardiovascular care, training and research.
The Victorian Heart Hospital will improve the lives of those diagnosed, or at risk of cardiovascular disease with an iconic, purpose-built centre of excellence enabling the integration of clinical and scientific resources and expertise.
Monash Heart Private Cardiac Care Unit:
Our Cardiac Care Unit will be equipped with the latest cardiac monitoring technology and equipment.
Our high level services include:
- Critical Care and High Dependency beds for patients who require a higher level of specialised care
- An Intensive Care Unit to allow for the best in immediate pre and postsurgery observation and care.
- Our onsite specialist medical teams, which includes cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiac anaesthetists, offer patient care in acute diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiac and thoracic surgery.
Our Cardiac services include:
- Interventional procedures such as coronary angioplasty, percutaneous coronary intervention and structural heart intervention
- Cardiac rhythm management procedures including pacemaker and implantable cardiac defibrillator implantation, electrophysiology study and ablation procedures
- Cardiac surgery including coronary artery bypass graft surgery, heart valve repair/replacement, surgery for tumours, congenital heart disease and structural heart disease
- Advanced cardiac imaging including echocardiography, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI
- We also extend our care to adolescent patients requiring cardiac surgery or cardiac procedures
Monash Heart Private Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator
The Monash Heart Private (MHP) Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator will demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge and experience in cardiac nursing care and related procedures and will be responsible for providing education, guidance, support and referral to the appropriate community follow-up to all private Cardiac inpatients.
The MHP Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator will promote and ensure the delivery of a high standard of evidence-based interdisciplinary care to all private cardiac patients.
This includes the clinical support and education of all clinical staff in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of cardiac rehabilitation services.
The MHP Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator is a professional role model and a source of expertise on issues relating to the education of people with cardiac disease and practices independently and interdependently, assuming accountability and responsibility for their own actions.
The MHP Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator will provide clinical governance and service quality for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs by developing, implementing, measuring and monitoring clinical competencies and clinical guidelines.
What You Need
We are seeking professional, passionate and dedicated
Registered Nurses with acute clinical experience in Cardiac Care.
You will also need the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
- Relevant experience demonstrating the appropriate competencies and skills
- Exceptional patient centred care
- Working rights within Australia
- Post graduate certificate qualification (desired)
- 5 Years of Cardiology/Cardiac Surgery experience
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
