As a Senior Data Scientist at Mable, you'll leverage your expertise in data science and/or recommender systems to enhance our matching capability.

You'll be responsible for researching, improving, and developing machine learning models to optimise external and internal customer-facing recommendations/tools.
This role requires a blend of technical prowess, strategic thinking, and collaboration across cross-functional teams. You will be at the heart of a fast-paced, high growth environment where you will help drive real-world impact.
What will I be doing?


Enhance and optimise the existing machine learning powered matching systems to improve how clients and workers connect effectively on our marketplace.

Lead the research and development of state-of-the-art data science solutions to address emerging business needs and market expansion opportunities.
Conduct exploratory analysis to identify trends, insights, and verify hypotheses to identify not only what is happening, but why it is happening and what it meansAnalyse A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of new features and processesCommunicate complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders effectivelyPartner with product managers, software engineers, data/ML engineers and UX designers to to operationalize and enhance production-grade data science servicesCreate and maintain dashboards to present insights and performance metricsEnsure all data analysis adheres to privacy and security policiesWhat are we looking for?

4+ years of industry experience in providing data science solutionsStrong understanding of statistical modelling and machine learning techniquesProficiency in ML model development and analytics tools such as PythonFamiliarity with data visualisation and data storytellingInitiative and ownership to deliver work with autonomyCollaboration skills to partner effectively with multiple stakeholdersA "solutions mindset" of natural curiosity and a strong motivation to solve problems, no matter how complicated or ambiguous they might beComfort with ambiguity, a fast-paced environment, and rapid business growthAbove all else, a "can-do" attitude is the most important qualificationWhat else would make a difference?

Design and productionizing of recommender systems and/or matching models.
Knowledge and experience in two-sided marketplaces, understanding the challenges of matching supply and demand.
Experience and/or knowledge in probabilistic machine learning models, enhancing prediction accuracy and uncertainty estimation.
Experience and/or knowledge in deep learning models, leveraging neural networks to conquer complex prediction tasks and high-dimensional data.
Proficiency in working with unstructured data, particularly text.
Proficiency with data/analytics platforms such as Databricks and AWS.Previous experience in A/B test design and feature effectiveness analysis.
