The company are seeking a dynamic Lead Systems/Network Administrator to join their close-knit and friendly team.


As the Lead Systems/Network Administrator, you will play a crucial role in leading the IT operations and infrastructure team while providing exceptional support to the group's users.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with the Helpdesk Team to ensure timely completion of support requests and infrastructure incidents.
  • Overseeing and coordinating external service providers.
  • Taking the lead on exciting IT projects, including the design and deployment of new systems and services.
  • Managing our infrastructure, systems, devices, and licenses to ensure seamless operation.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and propose effective solutions.
  • Working closely with our HR team to facilitate seamless employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Providing support to various onsite-based teams as needed.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A current driver's license and reliable transport.
  • Relevant industry qualifications (MCSE/CCNA) or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in supporting 100 or more users within a small to medium-sized company.
  • Experience supporting traditional virtualised environments, including Microsoft Server, Exchange, and VMware.
  • Proficiency in supporting network and firewall infrastructures, such as Cisco Meraki and Cisco ASA.
  • Familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure implementations and Office365 (Exchange/SharePoint/OneDrive).
  • Experience with backup systems for both traditional and cloud instances (Veeam, CloudAlly).
  • Excellent analytical troubleshooting skills and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with senior management.
  • Any previous experience in the building or construction industry will be highly regarded.
