Technical Consultant to join our team.


The Role


The Technical Consultant is the primary technical point of contact for the Technical Business Analyst and other ERP project team members in the design, development, implementation, and support of the ERP platform.

The role will be responsible for detail technical development and customisations of the ERP systems, and other external systems integration.


Key responsibilities include:

Systems Design and Development

  • Work collaboratively with Technical Business Analyst and the ERP team on solution design, development, testing and implementation and ongoing support.
  • Development of customisations to meet business requirements from requirements gathered through documentation, development, testing and implementation.
  • Development of
    Epicor specific artefacts including BAQs, BPMs, Dashboards, Screen & Report Customisations, and any supporting functions.
Systems and processes identifications/analysis

  • Have sufficient working knowledge of the ERP system to be able to provide functional support to users, and to assist in the root cause analysis of errors as required.
  • Identify, analyse, and document deliverables to agreed schedule and quality, including system integrations, current technical and business procedures within ERP domain.
  • Assess solution options across all key elements; from a customer, risk, technology, and user perspective before resenting for approval to build and implement.
Systems Implementation and Support

  • Contribute to development of schedule, resource, and test plans for project delivery.
  • Meet with key stakeholders as required to elicit and clarify requirements, answer questions and support.
  • Identify area of improvement, assist in the implementation of new feature, and support, maintain development of standards within the scope of the ERP environment.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent.
  • Have 5 years' experience as Technical Consultant/Epicor Administrator/Epicor Software Engineer using Epicor versions 10 and above.
  • Demonstrate experience with Epicor Ice Tools, Application Studio, C#, TSQL, BPMs, Epicor Functions, BAQs and Dashboards.
  • Understand of Epicor REST API.
  • Have knowledge of the typical functional processes in Epicor: Quote to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Manufacturing and Job Management and Financial modules.
  • Experience with Bartender software would be advantageous.
  • Have skills in SQL and SQL Server Administration to assist in the development and day to day operation of ERP reports using SSRS and interfaces.
  • Experience with Report Builder, Power BI, SSRS and SSIS and direct experience in an ERP database schema with a demonstrated understanding of the associated business functions and processes.
  • Experience working with users to elicit functional requirements, use cases, and test plans as well as delivering tested, Epicor solutions.
  • Knowledge of the SDLC and/or project management methods and modern software development processes.
  • Understanding of Epicor ERP system architecture and limitations to shape discussions with internal and external stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement, problem solving, planning and time management skills.
  • Strong command of English both verbal and written abilities.
