Principal Procurement Governance Officer

Our client is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to perform in the role of Principal Procurement Governance Officer.

The position is for 5 months commencing end of January hours per week.


This is a senior position in the team, responsible for the implementation of best practice procurement governance and probity, and the development of policy and procedures, strategies and processes.


  • Extensive experience in the development of procurement policies, frameworks, governance strategies and procedures.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience with contracts frameworks, including contract formation, drafting, negotiation and ongoing contract management.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience providing specialist advice on best practice procurement governance strategies and processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with 'go to market' documentation, including tendering templates.
  • Excellent time management skills to achieve proficiency and effectiveness in managing conflicting priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading changes to procurement processes, templates, policies and frameworks to deliver quality outcomes.
  • High level people, collaboration and relationship skills with ability to work in a team environment communicating and motivating effectively at all levels of the organisation, contributing to a positive work environment with a strong focus on provision of quality customer service.

In addition, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Degree or postgraduate qualifications in a procurement, law, business-related discipline.
