POSITION: COOK - FULL TIME

Vanilla Cakes and Coffee Lounge is an established and very busy café/restaurant/lounge looking for a full-time cook to join our team. For the role, we require a person with at last three years of experience as a cook in a comparable establishment.

Vanilla is uniquely situated in Eaton Mall, Oakleigh and brings a little bit of the city and Greek culture to Oakleigh over two levels. We are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

This position is a wonderful opportunity to work with our talented kitchen team and a menu that caters to a café/restaurant/bar and a wide demographic.

The following attributes are the minimum requirements for this position:

At least 3 years of highly relevant experience as a cook in a similar establishment

A passion for and knowledge of Greek cuisine

Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

Be able to take direction and work well in a team

Demonstrable experience preparing, cooking and seasoning a range of foods to a high standard

Ensure the quality of foods and the correct storing and cooking temperatures of foods for health and safety

A minimum salary of $73,000 per annum will be offered to the successful candidate.
