About the opportunity

As the Business Development Adviser you will focus on building the connections between government, the community and Apprenticeship Support Australia, aiming to contribute to building awareness of apprenticeships and traineeships and our services across state and federal government programs and services.


This role will support the Business Development Team to identify and approach businesses to grow ASA client base through actively implementing the BD strategy and represent ASA a range of events and networking opportunities.

You will use your exceptional customer service skills to build new networks and relationship, as well as building a strong rapport with our existing clients.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Build networks to attract new clients
  • Present ASA service offerings to grow ASA client base
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure they are receiving high quality AASN services
  • Work with existing clients to identify additional training opportunities
  • Meet KPIs set through BD strategies
  • Regularly contribute to the ASA Pipeline through identified leads
  • Promote ASA to clients and new customers through networking, presentations and events.
This is
Full-time, Maximum Term Contract ending June 2023 that is available for immediate commencement.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong sales accumen and ability to win clients
  • Demonstrated experience in building and managing a strong network of clients
  • Ability to promote Australian Apprenticeships to prospective clients
  • Excellent communication skills oral, written and the ability to present to groups
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship system
  • Ability to represent our organisation at events, functions, career days, expos including giving presentations and networking
If successful in obtaining the position, you will also need to obtain:

  • National Police Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
