About the Role

We have two exciting, fixed-term maternity leave cover opportunities at Hastings Deering to join our People Services team. These are for an initial 12 month period with possible opportunities for extension.

These roles will cover various facets of people and culture with opportunities for you to specialise in an area of your choice

Within these roles you will cover a variety of the following tasks:

  • Provide a professional, enhanced customer service, working closely with internal and external stakeholders across a range of communication modes
  • Provide sound advice to clients in regard to HR policies, procedures, legislation and awards.
  • Provide specialised advise and knowledge to the People Services Processing Team to ensure information is accurate and in line with the Company policies and guidelines
  • Advise on a wide range of specialised internal and external enquiries, directing queries to appropriate HR Centre of Excellence (COE) members if required
  • Act as a trusted advisor for all Human Resource functions in the provision of Company policy and procedures.
  • Continue to develop an understanding of the business, including products, services, and costs to ensure advice and support is relevant
  • Develop and manage strong partnerships with the People function to deliver valuable, effective, and timely support to the business
  • Contribute to the development and/or implementation of fit-for-purpose HR projects, processes, and systems to build organisational and people capability.
  • Demonstrate the understand of current/new Australian HR trends to assist customers and clients to better provide sound advice.

About You

A successful teammate will have experience in:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong multi tasking skills
  • Degree qualified in Business / HR is desirable
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and data management (Workday desirable)
  • High level of competency in Microsoft Office suite
