Business Overview
Here, you'll turn your passion into reality. You'll be working on building out capabilities/services in Content Services with a focus on Store, Secure, Archive & Destroy.

Our content services domain is responsible for group-wide delivery of Document Management, Unstructured Data Intelligence and Document imaging systems that support and underpin Australia's largest bank and lender.

Database Administrator is a key member and responsible for the delivery of world class database availability through design, tuning, maintenance, monitoring, automation, and innovation, using sound risk management practices, which ensures services are always available for our colleagues and customers.


You'll need to be a proactive, independent person and enjoy working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders from a range of areas including customers, software developers, information security, systems engineering and systems operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical recommendations and support to squads in relation to all database related development
  • Troubleshoot and prevent reoccurrence of issues related to database incidents and performance
  • Automation of Database related administrative activities to constantly deliver improvements.
  • Delivery of Database service offerings via selfservice deployment where possible and managing multiple environments.
  • Understanding customer needs and business requirements and translating them into enterprise grade technology designs and solutions where required.
  • Ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met through the monitoring and management of alerts and incidents and contributing to our supporting documentation and operating procedures

What success looks like?

Other key attributes include:

  • Experience with MS SQL or Oracle database management and development
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization
  • Experience with Ansible / Azure DevOps / Redgate / Golden Gate desirable
  • Experience with building and maintaining pipelines desirable
  • Experience with coding languages such as Powershell / YAML / SQL / PLSQL desirable
