The West Metro Health Service Partnership (WMHSP) is seeking an experienced project lead to manage a number of projects across the Partnership:


  • Full time fixed term position to June 2025:

Five weeks annual leave + additional monthly paid day off

WMHSP is made up of six health services (Royal Melbourne Hospital, Western Health, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Royal Women's Hospital, the Royal Children's Hospital, and Mercy Hospitals) and the North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network.

Your opportunity
West Metro HSP Project Lead is responsible for leading several projects across the WMHSP.

This role will work as part of the WMHSP team to develop, coordinate and implement the agreed HSP initiatives and activities.

These initiatives may include but not limited to Residential in Reach project and the Aboriginal Health Improvement Initiative.

Similar to other roles of this nature, this position is required to flex and adapt to the changing needs of the WMHSP.- Provide robust project management to deliver program and projects within scope, time and budget to achieve the agreed outcomes.


  • Coordinate and monitor project progress against key milestones, risks and opportunities across the project lifecycle
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders across the HSP.
  • Support program and project governance processes, including coordinating and preparing reporting for governance meetings and developing clear processes and structures to ensure delivery against agreed commitments.
  • Work with the Program Manager, WMHSP members and stakeholders to develop program strategy and project plans.

About you

  • Experience in service redesign, program or project management, demonstrated through successful delivery of complex projects/programs, ideally in healthcare.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects and the resources required to deliver them.
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment and at pace.
  • Excellent communication skills including welldeveloped writing skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with a large and diverse range of stakeholders to foster and enable collaboration.
  • Ability to work across multiple organisational structures.
  • Ability to be selfdirected, determine workload priorities, stay motivated, coordinate multiple projects at once and work to timelines as part of a team.
