Chef | Mackey's Royal Hotel

Mackey's Hotel, located in the heart of Latrobe, is looking for a positive, confident, and passionate qualified Chef for a casual position. With a spacious bistro and a fantastic menu that offers great value and caters to everyone, Mackey's Hotel presents a great opportunity to showcase your skills.

What the role looks like:

Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and under the supervision of the Head Chef, you will be responsible for a variety of culinary tasks, including but not limited to:

• Food Preparation
• Assisting with cost management
• Upholding food health and safety compliance
• General cleaning and maintenance
• Menu Planning
• Assisting with inventory and ordering

Successful candidates will have a trade qualification (Cert III in commercial Cookery) alongside:

• A passion for food, coupled with a dedication to providing exceptional service
• Previous experience in pub/bistro-style dining (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Enthusiasm and commitment
• The ability to work under pressure and multitask
• Reliability and flexibility, with a commitment to working a variety of shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
