Seeking a Cyber Security Project Manager to manage the execution of various projects and initiatives across a Cyber Security Uplift Program -APPLY NOWA large higher education client in Sydney's South is seeking a Cyber Security Project Manager for a 6 month contract to be responsible for managing the execution and delivery of various cyber security projects and initiatives across the Cyber Security Uplift Program.

This position reports to Associate Director of Security (CISO) via the Cyber Security Program Director and works closely with functional managers, portfolio managers, business unit leaders, technical experts and project delivery teams.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a project and cross-functional teams, ensuring that Cyber projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while aligning with UOW's e PMO governance and strategic goals.

Responsbilities Lead and oversee the successful implementation of projects and workstreams to meet the program objectives and business benefits.
Ensure adherence to e PMO guidelines, project management best practices, and methodologies.
Form a high functional team to collaborate and effectively deliver projects and workstreams.
Ensure projects and workstreams are delivered in adherence to UOW's Digital and Cyber Security Strategies.
Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, business units, Program Manager/Steer Co and senior leadership.
Ensure projects are completed within allocated budgets.
Essential Requirements 10+ years experience in project management, specifically in Cyber Security projects.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Desirable Knowledge of Cyber Security framework and disciplines.
Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are advantageous.
Knowledge of the Australian higher education sector and the macro-environment it operates within.
