About the role


As a Supply Planner you will be responsible for nationally maximising the sales of inventory items while maintaining an efficient stock level and appropriate levels of service to Stratco's retail, trade sales and online customers.

This is an exciting opportunity with the ability to have genuine impact in the work you will do.


Based at our corporate office in Gepps Cross, reporting to the National Purchasing Manager, the primary focus of this role is to facilitate the replenishment of warehouse and home improvement store stock levels using ERP software to maintain Oracle supply planning parameters, accurately forecasting, placing, and expediting purchase orders with manufacturing and external suppliers.

Working as part of a small national team you will be involved in continuous improvement projects and will work with stakeholders at Stratco locations nationally.


In this position you will be the integration point between the national merchandising team, state-based sites and retail stores, warehousing, procurement, manufacturing and import suppliers, facilitating a collaborative process to achieve the sales, customer services and inventory level targets.


About you

  • Demonstrated experience in a Supply or Demand Planning role with industry experience either in Retail, FMCG and/or Manufacturing is imperative and experience in a multisite national manufacturing business is an advantage
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce, Procurement, Supply Chain, Planning or other related discipline, would be advantageous
  • ERP systems proficiency experience with Oracle, JDE, SAP or similar is essential
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, where process optimisation, new system implementation and cost reduction is a focus
  • Advanced problemsolving capability, with the ability to question process and recommend ideas to mitigate supply risks
  • An innate set of skills in negotiation, procurement, and contract management, working collaboratively and developing strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience in managing supply chain network models and system levers to achieve supply metrics
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Demonstrated management of a small team and ability to develop capabilities
  • Strong skills in Excel, for analytics, reporting, forecasting demand and identifying trends
