By joining MSWA, you'll put your knowledge and experience to good use by providing and coordinating evidence-based OT services including screening, assessments, interventions, and evaluations.

Our OT team provide advisory, educational and support services to clients living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions (for example Motor Neurone, Parkinson's, Huntington's, Stroke, and Acquired Brain Injuries).

Working closely with our clients, you'll help them identify and achieve their goals for maintaining independence and maximising participation.

Our OT team have specialist knowledge in fatigue management, sleep disturbances and the impact of cognitive changes and high-end assistive technology solutions.

How you can make a difference:

• Providing OT assessments in either the home or workplace, determining function in daily living, physical, sensory, and cognitive needs.
• Liaising with a variety of staff and external stakeholders (e.g., equipment suppliers) regarding intervention and the provision of equipment.
• Seeking an understanding around funding models for equipment provision.
• Understanding any issues relating to clients requiring palliative care.
• Keeping key client documents updated as required.
• Passing on great knowledge to support OT students, OTAs or volunteers within the team

Our 'must haves'

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• Current registration with AHPRA.
• Current Australian "C" Class Drivers Licence with no restrictions.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
• Provide First Aid certificate – less than 12 months old (we can help you here)
