KBR is leading the way in revolutionizing Energy Transition through unique technology and is looking to enhance our offerings in the HV Power Infrastructure market to provide complete energy solutions. We are on the lookout for talented Power Engineers at all levels to join our expanding teams based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Our KBR Infrastructure Solutions division aims to strengthen our expertise in HV Primary and Secondary design for upcoming projects in Energy Infrastructure, Transmission, and Distribution Markets, ranging from innovative grid systems to intricate transmission line networks.
- Substation Primary Engineers
- Substation Secondary Engineers
- Transmission Line Engineers
- Power Systems and Integration SME
- Design, analyze, and optimize grid systems to meet evolving energy demands through comprehensive power grid analyses, grid-connection studies, infrastructure planning, system impact assessments, and R&D initiatives for electrical grid technologies.
- Develop innovative solutions for transmission lines above 275kV, ensuring reliability and efficiency, including feasibility studies and analysis.
- Establish network connections focusing on seamless integration and performance.
- Create robust designs for substations, complying with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead primary and secondary design processes to ensure project success from start to finish.
- Power Systems SME responsible for growing a multidisciplinary power systems team to meet future project requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in primary, secondary, or transmission line design with 275kV and above HV systems.
- Primary engineer responsibilities include HV substation layouts, equipment specifications, diagrams, and design calculations.
- Secondary engineer tasks involve protection coordination studies, system drawings, and CT & VT sizing.
- Proficient in primary and secondary design methodologies.
- Power Systems Engineer with experience in PSS/E and PSCAD.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of IEC61850 preferred for Secondary Engineer.
- Transmission Line Engineer with expertise in PLS-CADD or Tower.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Candidates must have Australian work rights and be current residents in Australia.
