About the role

The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality, evidenced based advanced clinical neuropsychology services to clients of the Behavioural Emergency Response Team (BERT), as part of an interprofessional team to prevent admission and/or expediate discharge from Metro North Health acute and subacute services.

  • Communication/Team participation demonstrated advanced ability to communicate and participate effectively as a member of an interprofessional team, including providing expert clinical advice to external service providers, clinicians, and family/carers of clients, and effective conflict management
  • Leadership demonstrated ability to provide professional and clinical leadership within the BERT, including, clinical supervision and support for less experienced practitioners and students, setting, maintaining and evaluating clinical practice standards
  • Quality improvement demonstrated ability to lead, implement and evaluate service improvement initiatives through continuous quality improvement, knowledge translation and research projects that enhance outcomes for consumers of BERT and influence clinical practice standards across Queensland
