THE ROLE - QUARRY MANAGER - Port LincolnHallett Group are looking for a Quarry Manager to lead the team and quarry operations at DK Quarries Port Lincoln.

You will have a genuine interest in the day-to-day leadership, supervision and challenges of running a hard rock operation, including responsibility for safety performance, production targets, quality control, and continuous improvement.

As the Quarry Manager you will have an uncompromising and overriding commitment to safety and the ability to lead the safety performance and culture of the entire team and the site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIIESReporting to the Area Manager – Quarries, other responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

Provide leadership to ensure all operations are conducted safely in accordance with legislation and Hallett Group standards of OH&S.Implement strategies to achieve WH&S, production and financial performance targets.

Develop, implement and review quarry development and production plans for the Quarry.
Ensure all quarry materials and stockpiles meet Australian Standards, DIT and customer specifications.
Supporting your team to understand and meet all quality, policy and procedure requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIESDiploma in Surface Operations / Extractive Industries or equivalent (preferred);Demonstrated leadership capability and strong communication skills;Minimum 5 years practical and supervisory experience in hard rock quarry or mining operations including managing drill and blast, load and haul and crushing and screening operations;Demonstrated WHS focus and knowledge of the requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations;Experience in Continuous Improvement strategies andStrong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
