An exciting opportunity exists for a Pathology Specimen Collector to join our Camberwell and surrounds Collections team and grow your career with Dorevitch Pathology, part of Healius, a progressive healthcare leader.

The Pathology Collector role is offered on a permanent part time basis, in various shifts between the hours of 7am and 5pm Monday to Sunday and also Public Holidays as required.

All of our new Pathology Collectors will receive full training, join a friendly and professional team dedicated to patient care and a company committed to excellence for our patients, our doctors and our people.

About the role

Your Duties will include:
Collection of blood and other samples from patients;

Packaging and dispatching of specimens;

Stock maintenance;

Greeting patients and assisting with appointments and requests;

Receiving and receipting of patient account payments;

Providing advice on special requirements, preparation and instructions for tests; and

Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance Processes.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy;

A willingness and confidence to work independently in a solo clinic;

VPD evidence such as Hepatitis B and Covid-19 are a requirement of this role

A current Australian Open Driver's Licence may be required; and

Demonstrated experience & knowledge in Phlebotomy or a Cert III in Pathology would be advantageous.
