A Day in the life...


The role of Product Strategy at Procept is to work at the intersection of technology, user experience, and business to define valuable product opportunities.

Working closely with clients you will curate the vision of their product, assisted by an internal team of designers and engineers.

The work is strategic, and will cover clarifying business goals, identifying unmet customer needs, stress testing technical and market assumptions and gathering evidence of value for a new product opportunity.

You will be a trusted advisor for clients through the development of high-impact outputs where the customers voice is paramount and business success is the ultimate goal.

Your work will result in crucial artefacts that raise the probability of success for a new product opportunity, enabling Procept's clients to grow and thrive.


Your responsibilities will include...

  • Engage with Procept clients to lead and deliver Product Advisory services
  • Build, plan and execute a program of work based on an agreed commercial proposal
  • Determine customer needs through interviews and contextual observation activities
  • Assess product / market fit through development of value propositions and market analysis work, including competitor reviews
  • Create evidencebased artefacts to support a product vision such as user journey maps, product roadmaps, feasibility reports, market analysis and business models

Ideally, you have...

  • A degree qualification in scientific, business or engineering related disciplines
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, commercialising novel technologies
  • A background in consulting, product definition and/or service design managing multiple stakeholders
  • Prior experience in product definition or product development
  • A background in technology is desirable or an interest in technology products
  • Experience working in a resources industry within innovation centres is highly regarded as is medical device experience
  • Forward thinking approach and able to solve complex problems
