  • Tired of just feeding your drawings into the computer and never seeing the end results
  • Unique opportunity for an experience E&I drafter to have an active involvement in the commissioning of their designs and seeing the end result.
  • With my client you will have "active designer involvement", as the speciality equipment for the Instrument and Electrical components will be located on site all within 100 metres of your desk
  • Just put your hard hat on and walk over to the equipment to inspect the progress_ engagement with Engineers is encouraged as it is a team effort.
  • You will gain unique experience on a broad range of speciality equipment within the Oil & Gas sector.
    Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carry out assigned tasks, and produce deliverable competently and effectively, within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Perform detailed drafting / designs, drawings, and specifications, and contribute to appropriate studies as required.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other drafters / designers and technical personnel in the execution of the project.
  • Provide timely and accurate work progress and forecasting data to the lead engineer as requested.
  • Onsite support for construction, precommissioning, commissioning and startup relating to instrumentation, actuated valves, control systems, and electrical equipment necessary to achieve safe and timely startup of plant
  • Able to deal professionally, fairly and ethically with third parties such as vendors and contractors with due regard to commercial and contractual responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in
    Electrical, Instrument & Control Drafting /Designing in Oil & Gas industry
:

- min 3- years of relevant experience.

  • Essential
  • Be proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Experience in Aveva instrumentation design would be beneficial.
  • Oil & Gas industry
  • High advantageous
  • Experienced with designing to Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000
  • Have specific knowledge of Australian hazardous area standards (AS/NZS
  • Shall be familiar with all design documentation and their use and be able to originate such documents including block diagrams, hookup diagrams, termination diagrams, schematics, loops, fire and gas layouts, instrument layouts, cause and effects, philosophies, specifications and datasheets.
  • Strong work ethic and team base approach.
