The Opportunity

Consisting ofEngineers, Architects, Designers and our Digital Delivery team, the Industrial Buildings team is looking for a Senior Structural Designer to become immediately involved in abroad range of light and heavy industrial projects inmarkets including Food & Beverage, Mining & Metals, Power, Water, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Defense.

You will have the opportunity to lead the development and delivery of structural work packagesrelating to the design of industrial structures ina range ofmarket sectorswhile also becominginvolved in the leadership of multidisciplinary teamsto ensure outstandingproject and technical delivery.

Based in our Melbourne or Sydney office, you will have the chance to work in a highly collaborative teamthat isfocused on creatinga cultureof creativity and innovation, developing long-term client relationships and empowering the success of our people.

Working on complex multidisciplinary projects, you'll have a unique opportunity to directly interface with a range of in-house disciplines including planning, engineering, project management and more.

This is a brilliant opportunity to become a part of our growing Industrial Buildings business which spans across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. We have a team of highly experienced and well networked Engineering and Designers who are evolving our established business into a fully integrated international design offering.

Preferably, you will have proven capability across a range of the following areas:

·Demonstrated capability to deliver projects from inception to completion working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.

  • Experience in leading design delivery to internal and external customers and clients
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is a must – Navisworks and Microstation beneficial but not essential.
  • A sound understanding of structural engineering principles is a must.
  • An understanding of BIM principles within the Design process is a must.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the flexibility to work across a broad scope of technically complex projects.
