The Role:


Epworth Freemasons Perioperative team are seeking enthusiastic Sterilising Technicians who are fast learner, and adapt well in a fast paced environment, to join and be part of a dynamic, friendly, supportive CSSD team.


You will be supported by the CSSD Manager and CSSD Leadership team, in providing a comprehensive orientation program to support your transition into your new role.


Key areas of focus for this role:
To be part of a team responsible for providing a safe and effective service in sterilisation and disinfection processes of reusable medical devices

Appropriate use of resources, including prioritisation of work load to meet the activities of the unit

Focus on delivering results that reflects the expectation of the team

An understanding of the National and International Standards relating to the processes of reusable medical devices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support the daily operations and service delivery of the unit

Participate in the development and implementation of the department quality activities

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Sterilisation Certificate 111

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Experience in endoscopy and orthopaedics area

A willingness to work in endoscopy and orthopaedics area

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English

Experience and the ability to use computer systems

Familiar with TDOC tracking system

An ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
