Embark on a journey to obtain a
Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering by joining us as a Maintenance Fitter Apprentice through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with
HVTC hosted by
Signode.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

Perform general mechanical maintenance tasks, including inspections, lubrication, and fault finding.

Participate in plant and equipment repairs during breakdowns or planned maintenance.

Fabricate components with provided skill set and ongoing training.

Undertake repair and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as needed.

Worksite Overview:
You'll be involved in a diverse range of tasks, including:
Welding, cutting, drilling, and grinding.

General fabrication using tools like lathes and power saws.

Utilizing various mechanical tools of the trade.

Safety-conscious and aware of workplace protocols.

Enthusiastic about learning and developing skills within a collaborative team environment.

Capable of working independently when necessary.

Demonstrates punctuality and a strong attendance record.

Physically fit to fulfill all aspects of the role.

Work Hours and Location:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a rostered day off (RDO) accrued.

Location:
Kurri Kurri, NSW.

Work involves a mix of manufacturing production plant (75%) and repair/fabrication workshop tasks (25%).

Requirements:

NSW National Police Check.

Successful completion of a Pre-employment Medical assessment.

Valid Driver's License (P1 or above).
