About the role
Protech Cairns are recruiting for a skilled and experienced HSE Advisor.
You will be an integral part of the team working closely with various departments, delivery of projects to cost, schedule, quality and customer / client satisfaction.

Key Duties
As a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor you will support a number of projects to meet the requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment management systems. The role will also involve assisting the site teams and managers by recognising hazards and seeking to minimise risks whilst creating, maintaining and improving the health, safety and environmental standards.
You will also support the Head of HSEQ - Australasia with strategic and operational oversight of our health, safety and environment streams and drive frameworks and initiatives across all our operations in line with our organisation's strategic direction.

Skills & Attributes
Essential:

• Experience in qualitative risk assessment and develop and monitoring of risk controls.

• Experience in developing, analysing and reporting on HSE performance, compliance and/or non-conformance.

• Experience in procedural writing.

• Knowledge of WHS and Environmental legislation and statutes and ability to interpret applicable statutes or legislation relevant to Project(s).

• Knowledge of HSE Management System techniques and tools

• Experience in preparing, conducting and presenting ICAM investigation reports (or other industry recognised investigation methodology)

• Experience in conducting and interpreting audits

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in WHS/OHS or equivalent or Diploma in WHS/OHS.

• Construction White Card

• Current Drivers License

Desirable:

• Internal Auditor Training

• ICAM (or other industry recognised investigation methodology) Training

• First Aid Training
