Remarkable is the startup venture arm of one of Australia's largest and most respected disability providers - Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

This Head of Startup Ecosystem role is developing the pipeline of potential startups harnessing technology to build physical, social and economic inclusion of people with disability.


Join a small team of motivated, impact-driven, "glass-half-full" kind of people who love to help new tech and innovation make the world a better, more inclusive place for people with disability.

The team runs an award winning 16-week accelerator program for founders with and without disability, as well as an annual Designathon and is looking to develop further activities to develop aspiring founders from around Australia and overseas as well as supporting scale up stage businesses to grow.


This role is responsible for building our online presence through execution of digital campaigns, brand awareness through creation and implementation of engaging and relevant content and building meaningful relationships between various customer segments and Remarkable.


Snapshot of the role:

  • Build and implement digital campaigns in line with department strategy.
  • Provide functional direction in developing 'go to market' strategies and tactical execution plans to drive engagement in our programs, events and to enhance our market position and reputation.
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies in workflow processes within campaigns.
  • Ensure all content creation, design and implementation is accessible and inclusive so that audiences with accessibility requirements can easily access all our communications.
  • Define and develop a community management strategy to actively listen to and engage with the various parts of the Remarkable community (mentors, founders, prospective founders, industry, the disability community)
  • Organise various community building initiatives to cultivate, grow and recognise participation in Remarkable programs and activities
  • Monitor and optimise community engagement levels
  • Define and deliver the optimal segment marketing strategy and campaigns within the assigned segment, focusing on driving increased engagement, customer satisfaction and activity uptake

Snapshot of you:

  • You'll have qualifications in marketing, communications or similar
  • And have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a communications, marketing or events role
  • You have excellent communication skills including the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders both internally and externally to deliver outcomes
  • You have high EQ, get people and understand what makes them tick
  • You are experienced with social media platforms
  • You have a passion for inclusion
  • You are strategic and plan well
  • You cope well with ambiguity
  • You are tech savvy
  • You have a willingness to do some travel internationally (if we're allowed)
  • And a willingness to get a Police Check, WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Check
