ABOUT THE ROLE
Through ongoing growth and success at Ramelius, a permanent Project Exploration Geologist opportunity is now available with the team. We have a range of projects across the Wheatbelt, Mid-West and Kalgoorlie regions. This role is offered on a 8 days on, 6 days off roster, FIFO ex Perth.

An opportunity to work across several projects, gaining exposure to brownfield and greenfield exploration, different deposit styles and supported by experienced geologists.

Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, this role will involve:

  • Execute and supervise field work programmes including mapping, sampling, and drill logging.
  • Record data to required geological standard in a safe, timely manner.
  • Develop work programmes with Senior Exploration Geologist.
  • Monitor work programs and activity to completion within approved financial limits.
  • Provide in-field direction and technical assistance to Exploration Geologist, Field Technicians, and contractors.
  • Oversee, ensure compliance with relevant obligations (tenure, heritage, health & safety) of staff and contractors.
  • Ensure people are trained to complete work.
  • Provide timely data interpretations and reports to stakeholders.
  • Comply with the Company Policies, Standards, Procedures and Management Plans.
  • Proactively identify and report potential hazards and eliminate risk taking behaviours or actions in accordance with the Field Leadership Procedure Key Performance Indicators and the relevant Organisational Level.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we would like to see;

  • Tertiary level degree in Geology, Geological Science or similar.
  • Broad level of experience across a variety of mineral exploration environments, deposit styles and exploration stages.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining, health & safety, heritage, and tenure legislation.
  • Prominent level of attention to detail, time management & organisational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant industry software.
  • First aid certificate (Desirable).
  • A West Australian C class driver's license (manual) and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance purposes.
