Purpose of the Role:

The Intake Shaft Site Engineer oversees equipment installation, directs on-site crews, conducts research, and reports project status, ensuring adherence to engineering designs.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification – Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • White Card

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' Construction Industry experience in a similar role
  • Experience with large-scale construction projects or equivalent projects
  • Technical expertise in site projects, machinery, and civil engineering
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical schedules, documentation, and contracts

Required Competencies:

  • Process-oriented and skilled at analyzing complex issues
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks
  • Initiative-driven, with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to different software systems

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with safety guidelines, procedures, and coordination with teams
  • Effective communication, flexibility, and meeting targets
  • Equipment inspection, problem diagnosis, and maintenance coordination
  • Client interaction and complex issue explanation
  • Worksite equipment maintenance supervision and coordination
  • Monitoring and assisting frontline team activities
  • Accountability for safety and project goals
  • Relationship management with clients and stakeholders
  • Reporting progress, delays, and coordinating with management
  • Document management, quality control, and record-keeping
  • Temporary work design understanding and compliance
