Job Description

  • Preparing workpapers, financial statements, and tax returns for clients of different wealth levels, including individuals, trusts, and companies.
  • Managing tasks related to BAS/IAS preparation.
  • Working collaboratively in a team to address ad hoc taxation and business advisory projects when required.
  • Ensuring effective communication with external partners.

The Successful Applicant

As a qualified accountant, you will need a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Australian Chartered accountant firm handling financial statements and taxation returns for clients. Familiarity with technology-driven systems that enhance accounting and tax processes is crucial. Proficiency in accounting software like Xero or equivalent is highly advantageous.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce
  • Prior experience in a Taxation role (preferred) within an Australian Chartered accounting firm.
  • Demonstrated skill in engaging with stakeholders and establishing strong relationships with individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Keen attention to detail and a methodical, systematic approach to solving problems.
  • Experience with XERO
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Holding a CA qualification or having started CA studies.
