Due to rapid growth of the organisation, we are seeking a Project Coordinator to plan, schedule and coordinate a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.

Working closely with the Project Managers, you will organise and oversee the construction process and procedures and ensure they are completed on time and in an efficient manner.

The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to determine the specifications of the project
  • Negotiate contracts with internal and external suppliers to reach profitable agreements
  • Obtain permits, licenses, inductions and certificates from appropriate authorities
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Collaborate with manufacturing division for delivery of materials
  • Plan all installation operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  • Coordinate and schedule permanent staff, contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Coordinate logistic providers to ensure materials and machinery is onsite on time
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

Key Requirements:

  • Previous project supervision, or experience with building/ civil construction or similar
  • An understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • Building Trade Qualification, Building & Construction degree or similar
To be successful in this role previous experience within the construction industry is essential.

It is also extremely important that you have the ability to take ownership of your duties and be able to establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and clients.
