About the role

an

Associate Portfolio Manager

(APM) in our Capital Markets team, you will work with key internal/external stakeholders and supports the strategy development for the Capital Markets team. The role is accountable for executing against this, delivering outcomes that are in the best financial interests of our members.

This is a permanent role within the Capital Markets team.

This team is an internal investment management team, responsible for implementing the investment strategy of the Fund through exposure & liquidity management and investment mandates.

Underpinning the Capital Markets function is the operation of a multi-asset securities trading desk covering derivatives and physical securities.

The APM is expected to manage diversified options to exposure targets, including managing liquidity at option and fund level.

In this respect, they are expected to trade in the wholesale financial markets across several instrument types and maintain mandate performance metrics.

The APM will also support investment transition activities as well as projects to improve or onboard the management of new securities and investment mandates.

About you

If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may include:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, investments, commerce or economics;
Strong understanding of the Australian superannuation industry;
Solid experience working within portfolio management and dealing experience in wholesale financial markets, including knowledge of legislation, regulations, market trends, risk reward optimisation and emerging issues;
Highly advanced research and analysis capability;
Advanced stakeholder management and negotiation capability;
Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with proven ability to present at senior management and executive;
Compliance with ASIC Regulatory Guide 146 (RG146) (superannuation, generic knowledge) may be required and training will be provided
