The construction industry is thriving, presenting an excellent chance to launch your career. You will undergo training for a Certificate III in Civil Construction with a combination of formal training from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and hands-on experience. This traineeship will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in Civil Construction.
During your training and practical work, you will be involved in various civil projects such as residential and commercial subdivisions, as well as major civil infrastructure like roads and bridges. The projects will be located across the Greater Brisbane region, depending on your location.
The ideal candidate
To excel in this role, you should have the following capabilities and knowledge:
- Dedication to both on-the-job and off-the-job training
- A strong work ethic and a genuine interest in a civil construction career
- Ability to collaborate in a team setting
- Solid grasp of safety protocols and manual handling techniques
- Keen eye for detail
- Passion for outdoor work and physical fitness to handle manual tasks
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- WHS Construction Industry Induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain one
- Availability to work Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM and occasional Saturdays
Eligibility Criteria
Prospective candidates must:
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and desire for a civil construction career
- Be available to work industry standard hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday and half-day Saturdays as needed
- Possess reliable transportation and a Manual driver's license
- Not hold prior qualifications in Civil Construction
