The Role & Project

MACA Mining is looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner specializing in mobile plant to join the team at the corporate support center in Welshpool. Situated centrally with easy access to major roads and ample parking, we provide contract mining services to esteemed clients in Perth Metro, Southwest, Pilbara, and Goldfields.

The Planner's main duties will include developing and managing maintenance schedules, prioritizing tasks based on urgency, interpreting maintenance data for insights, and identifying areas for enhancement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a biweekly plan, updated on a weekly basis.
  • Collaborating with the Long-Term Planning team for major component changeouts up to three months ahead.
  • Creating shutdown plans for the safe and efficient execution of major maintenance events.
  • Coordinating with different departments to align maintenance activities with overall site objectives.
  • Maintaining a database of equipment and machinery, utilizing CMMS for documentation when applicable.
  • Performing final reviews of completed service packs.

We seek individuals with:

  • Trade Certification - Mechanical; Heavy Diesel background is beneficial, or a relevant tertiary qualification. Experience in scheduling, particularly Short or Long - Term Planning, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in contemporary asset management principles and standards.
  • 1-3 years' experience in short-term maintenance scheduling within an active mining setting.
  • Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
