These are practical, hands-on services that support people with disability to develop their skills, build independence and access their community safely.

This is a 6 month fixed term opportunity to 26 August 2023.

In this role you will:

  • Support and promote the individual needs of our customers.
  • Develop positive relationships with our customers and to support their individual plans.
  • Work in centre based and/or community settings.
  • Have the ability to think outside the box and design/implement solutions to problems.
  • Work with who have complex support needs, using a customercentred approach.
  • Provide daytoday support to a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to ensure services are running smoothly.
  • Provide direct customer support as needed.
  • Complete a variety of administrative tasks including rostering, file notes, risk and WHS reporting.
  • Provide support to other centrebased services, as needed.

Essential Requirements:

  • Indepth knowledge of the disability sector including NDIS plans and funding.
  • Skills and experiencing in working in relevant programs.
  • Experience in supporting customers with complex needs and behaviours of concern.
  • Proven ability to successfully lead, manage and support a team of staff.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency & excellent time management.
  • Driver's licence.
  • Evidence of compliance with any Public Health Orders applicable at the time including evidence of a COVID19 vaccination or medical contraindication certificate if applicable to you.
  • NSW Working With Children Check
  • NDISWC
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Science, Disability, Recreation or other relevant professional field is highly desirable (or working towards completion).
