About these opportunities


You will complete a Cert III in Business Administration over 12 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with your Host Employer, Shoalhaven City Council.

Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide administration support to the Shoalhaven Water Team
  • Provide high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders via telephone, in person, online and in writing.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team such as data entry, records management, printing, preparing correspondence and conference tasks with the opportunity to assist with system implementation.
  • Use technologies such as computers, computer software, photocopiers and phones to carry out duties
  • Assist in general administration duties that are within the limits of the skills, competence and ability of a trainee

The successful applicant
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following capabilities and knowledge:

  • Commitment to both on and off the job training
  • Demonstrated interest and passion for the Administration industry
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and positively contribute to team goals
