Experience in a similar role, with a background in grounds maintenance and gardening is essential, as your responsibilities will include:

  • Using a range of horticultural equipment including a blower, hedger, whipper snipper, push mower and ride on mowers;
  • Gardening, mowing, watering, treading in, machine operation, raking and general horticultural and facility maintenance related tasks;
  • Mowing and edging lawns to specifications;
  • Pruning, weeding, leaf, dead plants and rubbish removal;
  • Mixing, decanting and spraying chemicals including pesticides, herbicides and fuel;
  • Safely operating a range of horticultural equipment including: push mower, ride on mower, a blower, hedger, whipper snipper, etc.
  • Maintaining the health and vigour of all trees with the estate pruning, watering, nutrition, mulch depth etc.
  • Identification and treatment of weeds, pests and diseases;
  • Planting, feeding and fertilisation of plants.
  • Background in lawn and gardening maintenance;
  • A manual drivers licence is preferred;
  • Experience with rideon mowers;
  • Relevant qualification is an advantage;
  • Experience with large machinery operation i.e. tractors, boom sprayers etc. is well regarded.
