The Company:


Based in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, our client is a global designer and manufacturer of Energy Power Systems.

They offer fantastic working conditions and facilities, as well as a safe and supportive environment. Contract positions (3 to 6 months) with the possibility of extension.

The role:

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will report to the Workshop Manager and be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Mechanical assembly, workshop fitting, installation and maintenance service activities
  • Use of precision engineering equipment, maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Read and interpret technical engineering drawings and schematics
  • To provide workshop support for CDC build up, projects, rental and repair work.

You will have:

  • Trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner
  • Hands on experience in an industrial workshop environment
  • Ability to use machine/tool shop equipment such as drill presses, lathe mill, bending and cut off equipment
  • Ability to use the necessary range of precision testing and measuring instrumentation (e.g. gauges, micrometers, verniers, plug gauges, height gauges)
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team environment with mínimal supervision

Day Shift:
Monday to Friday, 7.00am - 3.00pm, $56.25 per hour
