About Volunteer Services at Austin Health
Austin Health Volunteer Services are part of the Austin Health Foundation in the CEO directorate.
The Volunteer Engagement Team manage all volunteer programs, their processes and development; supporting a large volunteer workforce to provide support to patients, their carers and families, our staff and our wider community.
About the role
The Advisor Volunteer Engagement is responsible for recruiting, on-boarding, developing/delivering training, and overall supervision of a diverse group of volunteers who provide multiple levels of support to patients, families and staff across all Austin Health sites.
The Advisor Volunteer Engagement also provides support to Austin Health staff to effectively and sustainably engage volunteers in meaningful roles that enhance the patient experience.
A regular day will see you:
Engaging with volunteers and key stakeholders on a day to day basis
Supporting and sharing the positive impact of our volunteer workforce
Working with a dynamic and passionate team
About you
To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:
Demonstrated experience in coordinating effective and timely recruitment, induction, recognition and retention of the volunteer workforce
A positive, can-do attitude
Passionate about Volunteer Leadership
Ability to take initiative, problem solve, and prioritise workload in a frequently changing environment
